The certainly do pick up quickly. I have told Lucy "no biting" from day one when she would try to nibble on my hands and she has been perfect - UNTIL, I caught Thomas playing bite hand with her. He was letting her attack his hand and get rough (as rough as a tiny one can get). I told him to stop it and had to correct him a couple of times when he relapsed..lol.
She thought because she could play that way with him it was ok with me also, so I've had to get her back on track.
Regardless, I would never let ANYONE smack my Yorkie in the face or "shake her up". If it were me, they'd have had me smack them back if they tried that.
