My first Champion passed away this year and he was 16 1/2 yrs. I have had several live until 17..none past that age..but most leave me around 13 to 14 yrs.
AKC lists the age to be 12 / 13 yrs...but many things can be factored in..spay/neutered live the longest on average, ones who have regular dental care, adds years. Bad teeth and gums can produce bacteria that damages the heart and kidneys... |
