I had paypal reverse a payment($2,000) for a laptop I sold. I sent it delivery confirmation, person signed for it(in the US) and then said that it was an unauthorized charge. I sent them all the information and tracking number etc. Luckily I had already transfered the funds to my bank account. My paypal account is now in the negative but I don't care because I would never use it again if you paid me! They were also no help when a seller ripped me off. I had to go through my charge card and months of waiting to have money returned to me.
I repeat DO NOT USE PAYPAL!!!! You are giving a third party access to your credit cards and bank accounts. I ended up closing my 600 all positive ebay account and opened a new one that I only use with money orders or personal checks(which really limits my buying). Paypal takes a percentage of everything someone sends you but does not try to protect you at all. They're only in it for the money. Even if you use delivery confirmation the person can say that it wasn't their account or address or someone hacked into the system and changed everything. |
