My Chewy is 18 lbs, and her sister is 11! I love them dearly....they have always been on the big side. They are purebred, my friend is the one who bred them.
I always get remarks...esp. about Chewy! I just say "shhh, she's on a diet" and laugh it off. Actually Chewy is about 2 lbs overwt, but who can say no to such a cutie. Now that it's finally getting cooler around here (Cali) we can start walking more.
