I was told not to bathe the female for a coupe of days right after breeding; don't quite understand that, but it's what I've heard. Regular exercise/outings are okay up until the last week or so; then it's time to slow her down a bit. These are all things I've been told by my breeder and/or things I have read on the subject (and I've read plenty!). I am a beginner breeder myself. My Lexie just turned 1 yr old yesterday and we are hoping that she is pregnant right now. Sounds like your Koko is about a week or so ahead of Lexie's schedule. If Lexie is pregnant her expected due date will be October 20th. When will Koko be due to deliver. We can compare their pregnancys! |
To be very honest with you, i never intended to breed Koko(female yorkie) with Bebe (male yorkie). I heard from my friend that dogs wont' be ready for sex until 1.5 yrs old, so i never though they would have sex. one day, i saw their butts stuck together and realized they were intercoursing but i was thinking their body wont' be ready for babies until 1.5 yrs old so i left them alone. I was also thinking they might not have babies on their first intercourse, but i guess i'm wrong, dogs have higher chances of pregnancy than humans. Dating back it's about 2 months now, so KOKO might be ready to deliever anytime soon. I've been checking to see if she has milk coming out of her nipples.
