MIckey got Neutered yesterday (he is 8 mos). Everything went very well. He slept all night last night, but still ate his dinner. Today he is like his old self again... wants to be playful, eating and drinking normally.
I just took him out for a short walk... he is still lifting his leg. The first time that he lifted his leg his urine looked normal. The second time ( a min later... he marks everything outside!) i noticed it was a little darker then normal. The third time his urine was brown and possibly looked thicker than usual. He then tried lifting his leg again and nothing came out, then the next time it was very dark and almost a bright maroonish color. IT was hard to tell cause it was on shrubbery, but it definalty could have been a few drops of blood. I called the vet and they are closed. I also had my mom call her vet, and they were closed. My only option is the emergency room. Is this normal after neutering? Up until this point he was urinating and everything perfectly normal. He has been home for about 24 hours. Help........ Does this warrant a trip to the emergency vet?
