Before I found Kiwi's vet (who absolutely loves her and thinks she is the greatest thing), I got a vibe from some vets that they don't really condone the whole "small dog" owner who may dress up their dog or carry them like a child. I think some vets may have a problem with that. But that should never make them give substandard care to an animal. I would take my business elsewhere!

And I wouldn't be surprised if your baby is teething and not feeling well. Kiwi went through a few days of that. She was really tired and a little cranky. She really likes ice, so I gave her lots of ice and a chilly bone to take the edge off. The vet said we could give baby aspirin, and that helped. She was fine after 3-4 days. But of course I felt better that she had seen her doctor.
