So sorry to hear about Tini's LPC. You should take or send a full report from the vet that you usually use and the one giving you a second opinion.. that has to be done BEFORE you have the surgery to be fair to all concerned. Make sure the vets state that this is a genetic propblem since that is what your contract stipulates. In many states, the breeder is only responsible for the treatment up to the purchase price of the dog. If your contract says that she will give you another puppy of equal value, and if you signed that, the breeder might not be required to give you MONEY, only another puppy.
Others will tell you more legalese and correct me if I am wrong..
