I just gave up our mobile groomer a few months ago. She raised her prices SO high I couldn't afford it anymore.
That's the key....try and keep your price reasonable because the "one on one" service is well worth it.
Most of the mobile groomers around here also book a year in advance. In other words, mine would get groomed every 6 weeks and my appointments were made every 6 weeks for a year each January. Personally, I didn't like that. Things change and a Tuesday at 2 in March may be fine but a Tuesday in June at 2 isn't going to be happening when we're at the pool. I hated that we didn't have a choice.
I would also recommend "neighborhood" days. Say when you get a larger client base you can do 1 day in each town. This will cut down on your travel time and you'll be able to get more dogs done.
I'd also try and do your non-shedding dogs before any that shed. I could always tell when she had done a Golden or Lab before my yorkie and maltese. Recycled water doesn't work well with a house full of allergic people.
Good Luck to you!
