Today in History we watched a video on 9/11. No matter how many times we see pictures of the terrorists, or we see the burning buildings, it still feels like you're just hearing the news for the first time.
We had a full minute of silence today in school. I'm used to the kids I'm with being immature and talking through the whole moment. But today everyone was totally silent and you could hear a pin drop.
A woman my mom used to work with (before my mom retired) lost a brother in the towers. They never found him. I can't imagine how hard it is -- no matter where she turns on the anniversaries there are pictures of the planes and the towers burning.

It hurts me to think about how they all feel.
