I do believe thats everyone is refering too, and I thought the same thing. So I myself gave Lilly some gerber chicken in chicken broth baby food. It's all natuaral, and she gobbled it up.
It's mainly just to offer them something light & easily digestible since they haven't eaten properly for quite a few hours prior to whelping. Kind of luck us humans, when we've had surgery & can only eat soup & jello for the first meal or two. |
