The information they received from inside the building was terrible. Initially, they were told there was a fire and to stay where they were. Then they were told the fire was beneath them (it was actually above them) and to head up. Based on what little we were able to tell them, they decided to go down and not up. They made it out of the building, but some on their floor went up as instructed and didn't make it out. |
What a horrifying "connection" you had to that day. I'm sure that you were comfort to some of those people during those first minutes though. Bless you.
