I'm sorry you found that tick. It really is upsetting, I know, I found one on Chewy. You can pull those suckers out with tweezers, but they have to be destroyed, literally. My vet told me that they split them in half and then flush them down the toilet. My vet gave him the Frontline and she is comfortable at that. She said when she neuters him she will test for any Lyme, but she thinks it will be negative.

Get puppy set up on frontline (plus???) and you will be fine.

PS> I just read your post again and you said vet told you to keep an eye on it? Did they tell you to remove it? That should be done ASAP. Smother it in vaseline and then pluck it with tweezers.
