Stedman got his first cut when he was exactly 5 months old. He still (of course) had all of the super duper THICK black puppy coat and the reason I got it cut is because it was just getting out of hand. His hair has always grown really fast - so at 5 months old, I said - that's it! Time for your first trim Steddy!
I guess I should mention that I WAS NOT happy when they groomed him (I took him to Petsmart - how DUMB of me
) and they cut him, way, way, WAY too short for my liking. He looked like a Schnauzer
I was sooo shocked and upset when I saw him for the first time. I took him in black, and he came out silver
That part was fine, but his hair was just WAY too short.
Of course though, it grew back out - and indeed, very nice
Anyway, I vowed from that day forward that I would start grooming him myself, and I have been doing so ever since
