OH YES!!!!


A impacted anal gland(s) can cause serious pain. These glands, if left too long untreated can ever RUPTURE, causing a literal hole next to the anal opening itself for drainage. The smell is ungodly.

I'd take your pup to the vet as soon as you get a chance and have his bum checked out just to play it safe.
(have you looked back there at him? Does he have a "funky" odor akin to poo that you can't quite explain? Any bleeding? Any cuts or tears?)
