I thought he had allergies and today when we woke up his eye was swollen so I took him to the vet this afternoon. He has a bad corneal ulceration and I feel horrible! The vet said it was still superficial and should heal with medication. He also said he was glad I didn't wait any longer.

I have to give him an antibiotic ointment once a day and antibiotic drops every hour until I go to work tomorrow then when I come home for lunch then every hour until I work on Wed. This goes on until we go back to the vet Thursday afternoon. He also had to have all the hair shaved from around his eye and has to wear a cone if he starts to mess with his eye.

I feel so bad, I really didn't think it would be this bad. I thought it was watery and itchy just from allergies. I feel like a bad mom~I'm going to try to take tomorrow afternoon off work too so I can be home.
