I hate it when people do that. I know exactly how you feel. I get the same reaction with Prince. He's almost 9 months now and 7 lbs. I've had the exact same thing happen. I has Prince and another lady came up with her tiny Yorkie who was older than my pup. She flipped when I told her how old he was, telling me that he probably had silky mixed with him and that he wasn't a purebred Yorkie. I *polietly* reminded her that the "standard" (note that it's in quotes) size for a Yorkie is 7 lbs, and that Prince wasn't "big" he was standard....hers was just small. I let her know that he was indeed purebred and that she should think before she opens her mouth. I know it was mean, but I was pissed. All his life I've had people telling me that he was too big, and it used to really upset me. It still does sometimes now. I think at 5 months he was about 5 or 6 lbs, but now at 9 months, I don't think he's getting any bigger, and I love him.
