I don't think you're wrong at all. But i'm sensitive to such issues. I've never had anyone say anything about the size of my dog, but i've had such things said to me my whole life. I'm 25, 5'4" and about 90 lbs. i've had complete strangers say the most hateful things to my face my entire life. I'm constantly made fun of in the building I work at and i'm finally to the point where I stick up for myself. I eat more than most men I know and i'm 100% healthy, except for a few autoimmune diseases, which actually make me incredibly healthy. If I were in your shoes I would have said, "thank you but my "healthy" dog is none of your concern." Ok, so maybe I would not have been so nice, haha, but that was the clean version. In any case, don't take offense to that woman, your dog is perfect, it was her insecurities about herself or her dog that led to her statement. People are amazing, but what can be even more amazing sometimes is how cruel some are.
