No matter what room I go in he is there. If I go in a room and shut him out he barks and whines like he is hurt. He does sleep with us but is in his crate when no one can watch him (That's rare)

yes he will most likely stay like that. My pug always followed me around when he was a puppy and a total mommas boy and now he is still the same way at over a year old he never leaves my side.
