Chewy does this too, it's a puppy thing and they will learn. i however like to walk Chewy on the right side. I'm right handed and just feel more control over the situation and also like Carter's mom said, I think giving them a little slack on the leash is better. I have also noticed that since I have started taking Chewy to the park and letting him run off-leash, he walks better for me and does less pulling.
