Believe me, you will know when they are having a hypoglycemic attack. I just had our first one yesterday. His little body was limp and lifeless, his eyes were barely open and very glossy and he wasn't alert at all. Couldn't stand and his poor little head was very wobbly.
I called the vet and he told me to mix a teaspoon of sugar with as little water as possible and give that to him. So now I am going to be sure to have some nutrical with me at all times, or at least carry some sugar packets with me everywhere. It was very scary and we don't want it to happen again. |
