A dogs estrus ususally lasts 21 days. The rule is 7 in, 7 there and 7 out. My Roxie always throws up when she first is in heat and the second week of her pregnancy as well. I can hardly blame her as hormones make me feel ill as well. The difference is I don't chew my feet.
