Yeah, if she has a thin coat to start, that's fine. If the hair was once there and now it's not in those areas....there's clearly something up.
When testing for things like mites, if the infestation isn't severe, a vet can do multiple scrapings and never find a mite or any signs of there being mites beyond the clinical symptoms of them being a potential.
When it comes to food, dogs can be allergic to all sorts of things. I had an Akita once that was allergic to ALL poultry products and by products.
Is he still itching? No fleas for him to be scratching and digging at, right?
(The fleas don't have to be ON him for him to be experiencing the occasional "fly by biting" of a few while on walks or elsewhere) The skin isn't irritated underneath the hair that remains? |
