Default Reply from Organizer from my e-mail

The organizer replied back to my e-mail that I wrote to her and said that “when a stranger joins the group and does not have pictures and does not post info in their profile, we don’t know them or know what they want. They may just be lurking and finding out details about our lives. They may be wanting to find out where we are going. They may be trying to find out what park a bunch of women are going to with their little dogs. I am not a “bad” person so I am sure there are lots of things “bad” people could do or try to do.”

This particular member in my eyes never even had the opportunity to explain her reason to join didn’t even have enough time to post pictures and answer the questions. And Furthermore the locations that they pick to have the meet ups are always in safe places and I think that we are all adults and if we feel that the location is not safe for you or your yorkie then you just don’t attend the meet up.

I agree that simple rules should apply to the meet ups and members but I think that is what it should be is SIMPLE and at the same time where do you as the organizer draw the line to pervading the members safety? There are predators in her words "Lurkers" that lurk everywhere. They don’t have to be on the Internet they could be already at the places that the meet up are going to be held at without even knowing that we are coming. On top of that just about every meet up there are about 4 to 5 men that attend the meet ups with us ladies. I do not feel scarred with my husband there I know that he will protect me. I think that if anything were to happen he would take action and protect anyone of the meet up members there.
