I loved track season with my daughter 'cause then I could take one of the dogs (since it was outside). It was pretty fun. I did sneak one into a volleyball game once in a bag, but if we had been caught we probably would have been asked to leave. The people around me saw her, but didn't say anything to anyone else.
I think it really helps with the socialization so I try to take at least one when I can. Whenever there is a parade in town I try to take one with me, too.
