Grass burrs are thistle little things that for whatever reason grow in grass. There are also sand burrs and who knows how many other little thistle - prickly little burrs out there.
Just checked for grass burrs online and came across this from the Dirt Doctor - an organic gardner offer advice - thought I'd share it and see if anyone else has tried this. Anyone in to organic lawncare? No chemicals for grass burrs

If you step over the line and use chemicals, they will make both problems worse.
Corn gluten meal and dry molasses are the best tools for controlling grass burs. These and other organic fertilizers build organic matter in the soil, and with that comes humic acid that shuts down the germination of annual weeds seed such as grass burs.
But I've never even heard of dry molasses before. I wonder if having my yard sprayed by a chemlawn company has actually made it worse??
