The only thing with a mix is you don't know what you will get. I adopted a maltese/yorkie mix at 14 weeks - he was 2# 7 ounces and we didn't expect him to get much bigger than 6 or 7 pounds, but he is 10# 7 ounces at 2. He is not fat at all, but just a bigger boy. I didn't care about size and I actually think he is perfect - not too fragile, but if you adopt a mix be prepared for it to get bigger than what you may have thought. Check petfinder too! They have some adorable yorkie mixes and maltese mixes and there are some puppies too
