You know, keep in mind that even if you find that you're not ready to take on a rescue yourself, they do need transporters if you're able to do that. When I worked with them, there was a three leg (3-hours each leg) journey between me, two absolutely lovely volunteer women, and the foster mom. Those middle-leg women got nothing out of it but the joy of helping.
