I have a suggestion - why don't you use
www.yousendit.com? You create an account for free, then upload your really big file to the site. Then all you have to do is post the link on this site and anyone who wants to can click on the link to download the file. I have an account...if your file is too big for the free account (100MB), pm me and I'll see what I can do to upload using my account (Mine allows up to a 2GB file).
