Good idea about the intubation. Insist the vet do it. Or a vet tech like our Kim who's been doing it 15 years and can do it with her eyes closed. On labs and other large dogs, you don't have to worry about slight jabs to find the trachea so much, and it usually slides right in after about 2-3 tries, but I've seen a few vet techs try for 4-5 minutes on big dogs, and it would be no good on a yorkie's throat.... thanks for the info Aimee.
