Tami (LadyHawk) gave me this advice when I was weening Lexi's Puppies: The puppies loved it!!!
Grind up some puppy kibble, mix it with soft puppy food or cottage cheese and some goats milk. Make it the consistancy of slightly lumpy tomato soup. Gently dip their chins in it and they will lick their chins. You may need to do it more than once before they figure it out. Make sure that you feed them in the morning before they are nursed. To suppliment them at night add a bit of baby rice cereal to puppy food and goats milk. The cereal will fill them and help them make it through the night.
