I found my first cat when she was one week old. I had no mommy yorkie, so I had to do the next best thing- bottle feed. I used KMR, and with the help of my vet weened her at about five weeks. I used dry food and soaked it in the KMR (kitten formula) Gradually I decreased the amount of time that I let it soak, and the amount of KMR that I soaked it in. You can get KMR at Petsmart, and I've even seen it in a few groceries. If you can't find it, a lot of vets and animal shelters keep it and will sell you some! Also, if you need a good, cheap vet, a lot of animal shelters also have vets. They are usually pretty cheap if you are taking in a stray and need care for it (they realize that you are helping the animal and not just dumping it in their shelter, so they tend to keep the costs to a minimum in this situation) This is what I did with my kitten, and we got wonderful care for her quickly and inexpensively.
I would stay away from the wet food for a while- it could get under the gums and rot the teeth, and a lot of cats get picky and won't eat dry food after they've gotten used to the wet.
Good luck!!! That picture is the sweetest thing!!!!
