Hi Y'all,
We are brand new to this forum stuff but seasoned veterans with Yorkies (of 7 months duration). Our baby "Roufianna" took to a dog litter box with a dip on one side to facilitate entry and exit when se was tiny. Instead of liter we used pads and never found it necessary to add scent to them. Maybe the litter box makes a more memorable target or possibly extends a feeling of security. I think pads are much easier to deal with and neater then litter. N e way she began using them right away with accidents of course but the accidents thinned out tremendously within 4 months. We take her everywhere with us and her second home is our boat that we all stay on 3 nights a week in summer. In any event she loves being outdoors and now will not use the wee wee unless she really has to. From what I hear we have been very lucky

Of course we will see what happens in winter when its cold and wet out?? She is now 9 1/2 months and we are thinking that she will come into season soon. What can you do to protect furniture (our bed) etc. We will not have her spayed until we decide if we are going to breed her once. Thanks for the input and the ears.
