I'm not sure what him turning pro has to do with anything, I'm sure he did engage in this type of behavior all of his life. But he cannot use the environment he grew up in to excuse his actions. He obviously already knew it was wrong or he would not have done what he did to try and hide his involvement. This was a choice he made, it was not a choice that was made for him.
