Yes, I make sure they haven't eaten at least 1/2 hour before and I don't feed them afterwards. I have used it several other times in the middle of the afternoon and several hours later they will get their dinner and no problems at all. I'm guessing they're swallowing some of it and with it sitting on their empty tummies overnight they are getting nauseous?
