It's not making excuses really, just considering all of the contributing factors. Yes, I would think anyone with common sense would be able to tell that it is a sick and twisted thing to do, but not everyone thinks the way those of us who treasure dogs do, sadly. This post as well as your previous is exactly what she was getting at.
Not condoning.
Not defending.
She was getting at understanding where the source of the problem is arising from in an effort to be able to better work at elimanating the problem.
More simply put:
Attacking the root source and not just treating the symptoms.
Of course, this was also her opinion on the problem of dog fighting.
Of course, Vick needs to be held accountable.
Understandably, people on a dog loving site are passionate about this.
We are all entitled to our opinions.
That said, I don't believe the energy spent on the e-mails to BW is going to change a thing in the world of dog fighting.
