Even in Canada/the US we try to get patients moving ASAP post-operative to get everything in your body back to normal. We, of course, give assistance when necessary, but try to get patients to do as much as they can by themselves.
Unfortunately, most of the European medical systems need a lot of improvement
I'd love to do some travel nursing over there to see what it's like on the other side of the stories.
