| My daughter is 6 months too.. Everything has been beyond smooth for us since day 1.
Basically, she has been sleeping through the night around 3 months (last feed, 8-9pm)-ALWAYS..Around 5 months, she began to wake throughout the night, I thought it was teething. Turns out, it is due to a few things - mainly growth spurt (at 6 months, they are VERY aware of their surroundings, including manipulating us tend to their every cry).
Starting last week, I had to stop the night feedings so she didn;t get used to it. When she did wake up, I'd give her absolutly no stimulation. Babies may make noise in "light sleep" -which does not mean he's awake. Pat him then before he's full blown screaming.
Consistancy is the key! They only know routine. I usually give her a bath around 7pm. Last feeding is always around 8-9pm and I put her down at 9pm. ALWAYS! She may fuss a bit, but she will drift off. (she also sucks her thumb now, which helps). If she wakes up in the middle of the night now, she'll usually go back to sleep on her own. If she cries for more than 5 mintes, then she might genuinely be uncomfortable (poop/wet diaper, sick, etc)
This way might take a few weeks to master for you..but start now!
