We adopted our Yorkie from a breeder, he was 1-1/2 old. He gets along very well with my 12 yo son and hangs out alot in his room. He growls though when you approach his room and sometimes barks. He still growls when you enter the room and seems very nervous. I have tried to tell him no but it doesnt seem to work. Any suggestions. He has growled when he is in the down stairs area to. I'm not sure what this behavior is about but dont want to get bitten. He will be fine laying on the couch and getting petted but then will growl at you in the next room. Is he trying to get attention or what.
