And I agree with this. Maybe the thread is poorly named, because I don't think she was defending the man, just identifying the problem on a more macro level. This is quite a problem in the south, but also in the north! I watch Detroit Animal Police on Animal Planet, and that is one of the largest concerns in their area. Having the toughest, my-dog-can-eat-your-dog kind of pet is almost as fashionable as having the teeniest pup with a cute purse and bow. It is just a matter of which mold people want to fit in to.
