The lady that had him said he was not used to men. She was a devorcee and was suffering from cancer. She had 4 dogs and Toto was a little to much for her as he kept challenging the other males. He is just now begining to trust Dh but I am still his fav.The last thing he needs is this male bugging him. He has come to love my father and even gotten use to his cane. I think he may have been abused because if you are holding a cane . broom or a large stick he is afraid and will run away from that person. Since I sometimes need a cane and so does my father and stepmother I needed to work closely with my baby so he would get over this. He is a loving dog and I don't want this guy setting him back as Toto is still fearful of certain things like too many people in the house at one time or going into strange places. But we keep trying new places and people so he will grow up to be a brave dog.
