Oh yes, my boys go into a frenzy when anything or anybody goes by my front or back door! Ive started to use a spray bottle and spray them with water when they get like that bc you are right, they cant even hear you say STOP at that point, so you gotta get their attention in another way! The spray bottle is REALLY working well with them! They will bark here & there but those crazy frenzied barking fits are becoming a thing of the past!! Now they look over their shoulder when they bark to see if Im behind them with the squirt bottle! haha
