In addition to the dog fighting, there was illegal gambling going on. This is specifically forbidden in his contract with the NFL. He knew what he was doing was wrong. If he didnt, he wouldn't have lied about it initially. I do not believe there is any excuse for what he was involved in. I really feel like anyone who can be that cruel to animals is a very scarey individual. I would love to hear from his Mother to see if that's how she raised him. The whole thing is just sad.
