Hi and welcome to YT. You will find Yorkies to be very different from any other dog - in a really good way!!!

Mine can be "Yappy" as they bark when they hear someone come to the door, see someone outside and definitely at squirrels.

Because you are going to have a boater dog whom you will want to go on pads, start with pad training. Your baby will be okay doing outside during the winter to potty, but if any longer than that, you will want to make sure you have a warm coat and/or sweater as they get really cold easily (and they also get hot easily). Pups can be trained to use pads and go outside.
