 Is giving baby aspirin safe?
Hi, I am brand new to this forum and this is my first post. I had a question about my Yorkie and while searching Yahoo I came across YorkieTalk and realized that, if anyone could answer my question, a group of people who love Yorkies would be who to ask .... so, here goes....
My Yorkie just turned 7. The last few days he has seemed to be really hot -- his nose and ears especially. When I pick him up I can feel that his body is warmer than usual. This isn't a constant thing -- just off and on the last few days. I haven't really started worrying about it yet, but if it lasts, I will see my vet. He is a little lethargic also.
My question is ... are baby aspirin safe to give? Thought maybe it would help if he has a fever? He weighs 15 pounds (he is a larger size yorkie) I have never given him a painkiller before and thought I would ask here instead of calling the vet right off.
