are these symptoms normal? if not, should i be concerned? it seems like she's sick or doesn't feel well, but i want to make sure it's because she's in heat and not something else before i run myself worried and rush her to the vet.

I'm sure you are worried. But She's OK, just make sure she has lots of fresh water. Princess is in heat too, licking is their way of keeping them clean.

Being lethargic would concern me. Princess lays around a lot, and won't eat much, but in no way is she lethargic. She's been really hot these pass few days because of our weather.
You can always try ice cream Princess loves ice cream, heat or no heat

Hang in there, it's a long three weeks.
