It gets really cold here in Chicago in the winter, I put a coat on mines and they hope thru the snow and love it. After they use it, I bring them inside. If they hear noises they bark, they are very protective and I hate they have been labeled by others as yappers. Kodak is my barker but only when startled or fearing someone is approaching unexpectedly. It's mostly because of their size. I use a flyswatter to hit the floor or wall if he start barking at shadows of birds or cats that walk outside when he sits in the patio window. Just to let him know you don't have to bark at everything. A lot of breeders recommend solid gold and some use the Eukanuba yorkie brand food. I've tried everything.
Good luck with your new puppy!
