I got a Canon Rebel XT for Christmas and I love it. I use manual mode most of the time and once you learn how the different setting affect each other it is easy to get any kind of shot you want. The biggest help I ever found was a book called The canon digital rebel field guide. I found it on amazon and it explains everything you could ever want to know about this wonderful camera.
