Congratulations. My initial thought was have you been to the vet to have his teeth checked? Charlie's teeth were so bad that he didn't want his mouth touched because it hurt him. Perhaps that could be part of the problem.

It take a few months for them to become acclimated to a new home, smells and voices. Be patient and you will be surprised at how well he will adapt to his new home and parents.
