I just LOVE original costumes! Last year I made an xmas tree costume! It was fun! and actually i created it the same way I created a candy corn costume years ago! I used felt and a hula hoop and made a 'dress shape' with the hula hoop at the bottom! For the candy corn I used white, orange & yellow felt in layers and for the xmas tree I used green. Then I took a party hat and hot glued green felt to it and put a star on top! I got battery operated xmas lights and hung ornaments and candy canes all over myself! sewed garland around the edges of the bottom, the neckline and the arm holes and the bottom of the hat! It was hard to make the dress, but the rest of it was fun! And we got TONS of compliments!!! People were SHOCKED we made the costumes! Here is a pic
